Much of what is known or suggested
Much of what is known or suggested in autism sincerely does not have a lot of scientific backing. Try talking to one of these kids with autism and you will understand how difficult and frustrating it must be trying to communicate with them. In a world where getting the child to look you directly in the eye after several years is considered a major breakthrough, you must give kudos to the doctors who are able to learn anything at all about the children, or the condition. The true name for autism is the autistic disorder, with the short form AD. A kind of brain deficiency that is mostly seen in kids. Some adults also exhibit it, especially considering that there is no known cure for the syndrome. Even its cause are vague, and although it could take you the greater part of three years to be able to tell that it is there, the child must have been suffering that way since birth. Having spent the early years with an autistic child, you might be the only person that the child will have some trust in. It could have taken a lot of time and effort to build that trust, so that the child could trust in you. If you did anything out of line, you could lose it all in a jiffy. So you want to be careful around people who suffer from autism, so that you do not undo all the trust in a minute that took a lifetime to build. It is not unusual for an autistic child to display developmental delay tendencies from the time when they are still infants or toddlers. In addition they tend to suffer regressions from time to time, or a loss of their skills. Strangely, you might find that they are particularly gifted at doing something special in a way few others can, like playing the keyboard or drumming, providing a much needed insight into the nature of their minds.
